The Migrant Internship Programme offers migrants with open work permits or permanent residency skilled

work experience in their area of expertise and qualifi cations. Both employer and intern are supported during

the 6 week period to address any issues that may arise. These may be around language, culture, gaps in

industry knowledge and areas requiring further training. At the end of the internship the client leaves with

a greater insight into the New Zealand workplace culture, relevant work experience, a reference and a new

network. The internships can be paid or voluntary, full or part time. If necessary, migrants will be referred on to

relevant organisations to provide further training or up skilling to improve possibilities of gaining employment

in the New Zealand job market. Group sessions are also offered educating on areas that will assist in preparing

for and settlement in a New Zealand workplace.
